The Head of Government holds talks with the Vice President of the Republic of El Salvador

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, received, on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at the Presidency of the Government in Rabat, the Vice-President of the Republic of El Salvador, Mr. Félix Ulloa, accompanied by his country's Ambassador to Morocco, Mr. Ignacio de Cossio Pérez de Mendoza.
The talks between the two sides covered mechanisms and aspects of enhancing cooperation between the two countries, in line with cables exchanged between His Majesty the King and the Salvador President Mr. Nayib Armando Bukele Ortez, on the occasions of Throne Day and El Salvador's National Day.
During the meeting, the Head of Government praised El Salvador's decision to withdraw recognition of the fictitious republic in 2019, praising the Republic of El Salvador's continued support for the Moroccan Sovereignty over the Sahara and its support for the autonomy initiative as a realistic, serious and credible solution to this artificial conflict.
He also welcomed the positive interventions of the Salvadoran delegation during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, noting the contribution of this Republic to the Support Group for the Territorial Integrity of Morocco at the 51st session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. 
The head of government praised the dynamic in political relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially since the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of El Salvador, Alexandra Hill Tinoco, who visited Morocco three weeks ago, inaugurated the headquarters of her country's embassy in Rabat.
During this meeting, the two parties also discussed several topics, the foremost of which is the exchange of experiences and the promotion of cooperation in a range of social, cult,ural and economic fields, especially agriculture and fisheries.
