This marks the completion of the program to rehabilitate primary healthcare facilities, which involved upgrading and equipping 1,400 health centers throughout the Kingdom’s provinces.
On this occasion, the Head of Government affirmed that the commissioning of these two facilities is part of the effort to strengthen the healthcare offering and promote the national health system, in accordance with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI—may God assist him. It also marks the final implementation of the government program regarding the rehabilitation of primary healthcare establishments.
The Head of Government emphasized that the rehabilitation program for primary healthcare facilities has improved health infrastructure, strengthened the primary care offering, brought health services closer to citizens, promoted human capital, and provided necessary medical equipment. This contributes to improving the quality of care and ensures territorial equity in access to healthcare, particularly in remote and isolated regions.
The Aït Ourir Local Hospital, built on an area of over 30,000 m² with a total investment of 85 million dirhams, aims to improve the quality and accessibility of health services for the population of the province and surrounding areas, while contributing to the improvement of health indicators at the regional level.

Furthermore, the Head of Government launched the services of the "Tazart" level-two rural health center following its rehabilitation and equipping. This project is part of the program to rehabilitate and reconstruct 114 health centers in areas affected by the earthquake of September 8, 2023, covering six provinces: Chichaoua, Marrakech, Al Haouz, Azilal, Taroudant, and Ouarzazate. The total cost of this initiative is 393 million dirhams, integrated into the reconstruction and management program for earthquake-affected areas, in application of High Royal Instructions.
This center includes several functional units, including a reception and admission service, an emergency service, a mother-and-child unit, a delivery room equipped with incubators for newborns, a medico-surgical hospitalization unit, an operating block, medical imaging, a biological analysis laboratory, and an outpatient unit, as well as administrative structures.
The center aims to provide services to approximately 22,000 residents, covering general and specialized care, particularly in maternal and child health, chronic disease management, and dental care, as well as imaging and medical analysis services. Additionally, these facilities have been outfitted with modern biomedical equipment.
