The Head of Government chairs a meeting on the roadmap for foreign trade for the period 2025–2027

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired a meeting on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Rabat, dedicated to reviewing the roadmap for the foreign trade sector for the period 2025–2027. This plan aims to position trade as a driver of growth and employment, encourage exports, and promote national products, in line with the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him.
During the meeting, Mr. Omar Hejira, Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade, presented the foreign trade roadmap for 2025–2027, structured around three strategic objectives: the creation of approximately 76,000 new jobs, the expansion of the export base through the annual establishment of 400 new export companies, and the achievement of an additional 84 billion dirhams in the export sector.
The Head of Government emphasized during the meeting that the government, in implementing the High Royal Directives, has worked to strengthen foreign trade and promote national exports as a lever for growth and development. He highlighted the importance of providing support and incentives to small and medium-sized Moroccan enterprises wishing to enter the export sector.
The roadmap for Foreign Trade for the period 2025–2027 includes six reform projects, including accelerating the digitalization of foreign trade, creating regional offices to support this digitalization, and promoting exports from the crafts and social and solidarity economy sectors.
